Arsenal Agree Deal to Sign Christos Tzolis From Club Brugge

Arsenal have reached a verbal agreement with Belgian side Club Brugge to sign Tzolis in a deal valued at €40 million (£33.9 million).

Although Arsenal have yet to submit an official written offer. The club views the paperwork as a formality before completing the transfer.

The Gunners also expect the 24-year-old Greece international to agree personal terms without difficulty. Allowing him to undergo a medical examination before signing a long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has led the negotiations. While assistant sporting director Maurizio Micheli closely monitored Tzolis during Greece’s international match against Sweden last month.

Tzolis has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting attacking talents after impressing for Club Brugge. and Arsenal believe he can add greater creativity and depth to their wide attacking options ahead of the new season.

Gunners Continue Pursuit of Marquee Forward

Despite moving closer to signing Tzolis, Arsenal remain determined to strengthen their attack further by signing at least one high-profile forward this summer.

The club continues to admire Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez as its primary long-term target. However, Arsenal expect strong competition for the Argentina international, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also monitoring his situation.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have identified Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers as their preferred option for a versatile attacking role. The North London club expects to intensify its pursuit after Rogers completes his World Cup campaign with England.

Villa are reportedly demanding around £130 million for the 24-year-old, making negotiations potentially challenging.

Should Arsenal fail to reach an agreement for Rogers. The club will turn its attention to Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as its leading alternative.

Arsenal therefore view the move for Tzolis as a separate part of the club’s transfer strategy rather than a replacement for its plans to recruit another elite attacker.

If Arsenal complete the remaining formalities as expected, Tzolis will become the latest addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad as the club continues strengthening its options in pursuit of major honours during the upcoming campaign.
